Chrome 84 Stable with 38 security patches

Those who want to install it immediately can do so from the menu - Help - About Google Chrome. The new version will need to be downloaded and installed automatically. Chrome will then need to be restarted to complete the update to the new version.

Η announcement on the official Chrome Release blog, is as usual vague as the updates address security vulnerabilities. The company states that the update includes 38 security fixes and that at least one of them fixes a critical vulnerability in older versions of the browser (heap buffer overflow buffer, CVE-2020-6510).

Google continues the gradual release of SameSite, which was initially released with Chrome 80, but suspended the release a little later.

SameSite restricts access to browser cookies by default. Google Chrome 84 will be the first version of Chrome to stop notifications from sites that misuse the feature.

Google has removed the older TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocols in Chrome 84 and intends to completely remove support for a future release. At present, both protocols are still supported.

Chrome 84 will alert users if they try to download something from an unsafe environment.
The next stable release of Google Chrome is scheduled for August 25, 2020. The Best Technology Site in Greecefgns
