Google and its commitment to greater adoption of secure HTTPS browsing takes another step today with the release of the stable versions 90 of Chrome.
The release comes a day after the expected one, and probably includes fixes for one 0day exploit revealed for the first time in the Pwn2Own competition.
In March, Google announced that Chrome would only select HTTPS connections starting with version 90, saying it was now the most widely used protocol, improving the privacy, security and initial loading speed of sites that support it.
In iOS the change will be released a little later.
This version of Chrome also incorporates the AV1 encoder for the first time into Google Browser, which states that it is “specially optimized for teleconference. "
We've seen AV1 implemented by Netflix for reptreatment βίντεο σε κινητές συσκευές, αλλά ο κωδικοποιητής 4K “χωρίς δικαιώματα” προφανώς θα βελτιώσει τη ροή σε δίκτυα πολύ χαμηλού εύρους ζώνης και θα βελτιώσει την απόδοση κοινής χρήσης screen compared to VP9.
As usual, a restart of your browser is probably enough to install the new version.
