Chrome 90 HTTPS default and 0day fix

Google and its commitment to greater security adoption HTTPS takes another step today with the release of Chrome stable version 90.

The release comes a day after the expected one, and probably includes fixes for one 0day exploit revealed for the first time in the Pwn2Own competition.

In March, Google announced that Chrome would start choosing only HTTPS connections starting with version 90, citing that it is now the most used , improves privacy, security and the initial loading speed of websites that support it.

In iOS the change will be released a little later.

This version of Chrome also integrates the AV1 codec for the first time in the of Google which states that it is “specially optimized for . "

We've seen AV1 implemented by Netflix for video playback on mobile devices, but the "unauthorized" 4K encoder will obviously improve streaming on very low-bandwidth networks and improve screen sharing performance compared to VP9.

As usual, a restart of your browser is probably enough to install the new version.
