Chrome Dino do you know the story of the game?

Chrome Dino game lets you drive T Rex and jump over cacti to avoid obstacles. Press space to make the dinosaur jump (and to start the game), and down to move on. The goal is to survive as long as possible, or at least until your Internet starts working.

To celebrate the fourth birthday of Chrome dino, Google published an interview with the developers who created the game, explaining its origins.

Why dinosaurs? According to Chrome designer Sebastien Gabriel, it is a game that goes back to the "prehistoric era", before the ubiquity of Wi-Fi.

The original designs of the dinosaur were codenamed “ Bolan”, από μια αναφορά στον Marc Bolan, τον τελευταίο τραγουδιστή του glam rock συγκροτήματος T-Rex του .

The game was released in September 2014, but initially appeared on some platforms, as on others (older Android devices), the game would have to be developed from scratch. In December of the same year, the development was completed, so everyone could have it in the game, regardless of the connected (non-connected) device.

The Chrome Dino game can be considered a huge success though it is hidden. According to Edward Jung, a Chrome UX engineer, 270 millions of games are played monthly by desktop and mobile phones. Most players come from markets with unreliable internet such as India, Brazil, Indonesia and Mexico.

You can play the dino game without enabling Plain Mode. Just open the internal address chrome: // dino on the Chrome you are using.

The current version of the game is celebrating its 4th birthday and is filled with colorful cakes, and hats.
