Google as usual provides very little information about the nature of the updates. The official Chrome Releases blog posts do not reveal information about the nature of the updates.
The only information the company gives is that Chrome version is 106.0.5249.103 in Stable channel and Extended Stable.
If you click on the link “log” that Google gives you can see the official Chromium changelog. The analysis shows that Google fixed a potential issue in CacheStorageManager and an issue in the AT Actions API, which could cause "severe regressions with JAWS".
JAWS, which stands for Job Access With Speech, is a screen reader "developed for computer users whose vision loss prevents them from viewing screen content or navigating with a mouse."
It's unclear if the issues listed are the only ones fixed in the new version of Chrome. Google doesn't report the security issues it discovers internally in the release notes of each new release or in the Chromium log, for obvious reasons. So it may have patched security holes in Chrome that were found internally.
In any case, it would be a good idea to update Chrome immediately. Just open the chrome://settings/help internal address.
