Η Community Health Systems (CHS) the US recently revealed that hackers have broken their network and had intercepted personal information from about 4,5 millions of patients.
The report says the attackers violated the CIS network between April and July of 2014. The Mandiant, the company that did the research for hacking found that the team responsible for the Advanced Persistent Threat was from China.
The information that has been intercepted concerns names, telephone numbers, social security numbers and other details of recorded patients.
The service claims that no credit card numbers, medical or clinical information were stolen.
According to TrustedSec, hackers managed to gain access to the service systems, exploiting its famous vulnerability OpenSSL "Heart Bleed."
