Clonezilla Live is a Live CD, containing disk cloning software similar to that of Norton Ghost. Saves and restores only used compseyea on your hard drive.
With Clonezilla, one can clone one system of 5 GB on 40 computers in about 10 minutes.
Clonezilla is based on Debian, and is specifically designed for disk and partition copying.
The distribution includes, in addition to its own specialized tools, some well-known to Linux friends, such as partimage, ntfsclone and partclone. All this strengthens them possibilities distribution as they help it copy a wide variety of filesystems: FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS for Windows, ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, reiser4, xfs, jfs, btrfs, f2fs and nilfs2 for MacOS Linux and HFS +.
Also copies UFS for FreeBSD, netbsd, and OpenBSD, minix for Minix, and VMFS3, VMFS5 for VMWare ESX.
Clonezilla Distribution recognizes logical volumes on Linux (LVM2) and recognizes network controllers, sambafs, sshfs, etc. It can also back up remote computers via SSH, Samba or NFS.
