Clonezilla Live is a Live CD, which contains software cloningsimilar to that of Norton Ghost. Saves and restores only the used tracks on your hard drive.
With Clonezilla, one can clone one system of 5 GB on 40 computers in about 10 minutes.
The Clonezilla distribution is based on the Debian, and is specially formatted for copying disks and partitions.
The distribution includes, in addition to its own specialized tools, some well-known to Linux friends, such as partimage, ntfsclone and partclone. All this strengthens them possibilities distribution as they help it copy a wide variety of filesystems: FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS for Windows, ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, reiser4, xfs, jfs, btrfs, f2fs, and nilfs2 for Linux and HFS+ macOS.
Clonezilla Live: It also copies UFS for FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD, minix for Minix, and VMFS3, VMFS5 for VMWare ESX.
The Clonezilla distribution recognizes logical volumes in Linux (LVM2) and recognizes network controller drivers, sambafs, sshfs, etc.. So it can create copies security and on remote computers via SSH, Samba or NFS.
