The Clonezilla Live is a Live CD that contains disc cloning software similar to Norton Ghost. Saves and restores only used tracks on your hard drive.
With Clonezilla, you can clone a 5 GB system into 40 computers in about 10 minutes.
The Clonezilla distribution is based on Debian, and is specially configured for it copy disks and partitions.
The distribution includes in addition to its own niche tools and some well-known to Linux friends, such as partimage, ntfsclone and partclone. All of this enhances the distribution capabilities as it helps it copy a wide variety of filesystems: FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS for Windows, ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, reiser4, xfs, jfs, btrfs, f2fs and nilfs2 for MacOS Linux and HFS +.
Clonezilla Live: It also copies UFS for FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD, minix for Minix, and VMFS3, VMFS5 for VMWare ESX.
Clonezilla Distribution recognizes logical volumes on Linux (LVM2) and recognizes network controllers, sambafs, sshfs, etc. It can also back up remote computers via SSH, Samba or NFS. release announcement
