Clonezilla Live is a Live CD containing disk cloning software similar to Norton Ghost. It stores and restores only the used tracks on your hard drive.
With Clonezilla, you can clone a 5 GB system into 40 computers in about 10 minutes.
The Clonezilla distribution is based on Debian, and is specially configured for it copy disks and partitions.
The distribution includes besides its own specialized tools and some well known to Linux friends, such as partimage, ntfsclone and partclone. All this enhances the distribution capabilities as it helps it to copy a wide variety of filesystems: FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS for Windows, ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, reiser4, xfs bx, jftr, jfs, xfs MacOS Linux and HFS +.
Clonezilla Live: It also copies UFS for FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD, minix for Minix, and VMFS3, VMFS5 for VMWare ESX.
The Clonezilla distribution recognizes logical volumes on Linux (LVM2) and recognizes network controller drivers, sambafs, sshfs, etc. So it can create copies security and to remote computers via SSH, Samba or NFS. release announcement
