Cloudflare announced today its first consumer product, which aims at a more private and secure internet browsing.
Η company created a new public service DNS, which is supposed to protect users from web tracking while speeding up their online experience.

DNS analysis services provide computers with the IP addresses they need to access servers using their domains. In other words, it is what transforms the domain iguru.gr into the information that is necessary (IP) for the website to appear to you.
Because DNS is basically a road map for each server computer connection, we can learn a lot about a user's behavior from information flowing through DNS. This is one of the reasons why Cloudflare has chosen to release the new service, according to co-founder and managing director Matthew Prince.
Cloudflare supports DNS over HTTPS (DNS over HTTPS), an approach that will make us safer.
"We've come to the conclusion that the only way is to run a trusted DNS service, other than a content-serving department, and as a consumer service," Prince said.
On the privacy side, Prince said the company will delete all the logs of the service and will not hold any of the IP addresses that have access to the service.
