An 'intelligent' bag locks the wallet

The iBag bag, which literally locks the wallet inside it, promises to put a brake on spontaneous purchases without a second thought. Her bag… s, is aimed at ladies who cannot control their consumer impulses when they are walking around the city or in a centre.

The bag iBag has an intelligent locking system that is activated when the owner is near her favorite store

Thanks to RFID, the bag knows where and how many times the owner takes out their wallet. In this way, iBag creates a map of "dangerous areas" that it updates or consults when it is... on the go. Thus, as soon as the owner enters a red area, the bag sends a warning SMS. A GPS chip controls LED lights inside the bag that start flashing, putting it on alert once the owner enters the consumer danger zone.

iBag was created on the occasion of the results of the Australian poll ς Card Finder που δημοσιεύονται στην www.creditcardfinder.com.au. As the poll revealed, one in four credit card holders do not the balance of his account each month. The same company therefore developed the smart bag, with the aim of helping people who cannot control their money.

"Many Australians are out of control when it comes to managing their credit card and they do not realize the economic impact of their spontaneous and often ridiculous consumer fury," says Michel Hutchinson, head of public relations at the company.
