A law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, has admitted that they have fallen victim to an attack with the ransomware called CryptoLocker.
In accordance with WSOCTV, the attackers managed to infect one of the company's servers when they were sent a fake notification that had the malware attached to it.

Experts are of course not paying any money, but many companies, especially small businesses, often succumb to blackmail CryptoLocker. A US police department has admitted that it has paid 750 dollars to retrieve its records.
