The head of the Prime Minister's Office, Yoshihide Suga, told the participants that the cyber attacks are becoming more complex and it is important that the government is ready to manage them.
100 took part in these exercises and simulated attacks on ministries. The participants emphasized not only the analysis of the attacks, the extent of the damage and the collection of data, but also the exchange of relevant information.
The participants were also in charge of public relations activities, with statements and press releases to keep up-to-date on developments and outcomes.
Cyber attacks will already be a serious threat to any Olympian Events and in 2020, who knows how much the "battlefield" will have shaped with the developments in technologys.
Japan's Technology Minister Ichita Yamamoto noted that the country should make serious efforts before the 2020 Olympic Games. Yamamoto admitted that although they have already made efforts in this area, Japan is far behind the US.
