Following the completion of the DebConf19 event, the Debian Project announced the dates for next year's DebConf20 Debian GNU / Linux Developer Conference, which will be hosted in Haifa, Israel.

Next year, Debian Project will celebrate the 12th year of the first DebConf conference and has selected Haifa Israel instead of Lisbon for the next event. Today, they announced the official dates for DebConf20, to be held between 23 and 29 August.

DebConf20

"The DebConf20 will take place in Haifa, Israel from August 23 to August 29, 2020. As is traditionally the case before the next DebConf, local organizers in Israel will begin the conference with DebConf (August 16 to August 22). and teamwork to improve distribution, ”says one Publication on the official site of the distribution.

DebConf20 will be released for the upcoming Debian GNU / Linux 11 Bullseye, the next major release of the Debian operating system following the recent release of 10 Buster. Therefore, all the discussions and workshops that will be held will share ideas and knowledge that will eventually lead to the new features of 11 Bullseye.

DebConf represents an important experience for Debian developers but also for users who are interested in learning and hearing their voice before the release of the next major version of the Debian GNU / Linux operating system. For more information on DebConf20, visit the official page at https://wiki.debian.org/DebConf/20.

The development for the next major distribution is already underway, as developers have recently been invited to upload their packages to the Debian Testing repositories where the work is done. However, it will take a few years to see Debian GNU / Linux 11 Bullseye, probably in the summer of 2021.
