“This patch release mainly adds fixes for security issues, as well as some tweaks for serious issues. The tips security patches are already published separately and listed where available," explains the Debian project.
"Note that the point version is not a new version of Debian 10 but only updates some of the packages included."
One specific security bug that was fixed in this new version is the libssh package. According to the developers, versions of the libssh package before 0.8.9 and 0.9.4 were affected by a security gap that caused clients or servers to disconnect a connection if it was not fully finalized and the system was trying to clear the ciphers. during connection.
The new version of Debian also removes some packages, such as getlive and gplaycl, which are no longer needed due to changes to the Hotmail and Google APIs, respectively. The yahoo2mbox package has also been discarded as it has not been working for several years.
