The Debian Project announced today the release of Debian 12.8 the eighth ISO update of the latest Debian GNU/Linux 12 “Bookworm” operating system series, replacing Debian 12.7.
This point release brings mostly fixes for security issues, along with some tweaks for serious issues. Security updates have already been released separately.
Debian 12.8 is here 4 months + after the release of Debian 12.7 and provides those looking to install Debian Bookworm on new hardware with updated installation media. So you don't need to download hundreds of packages from repositories after installation.
