The long-awaited Debian GNU / Linux 9 Stretch operating system has been released today, as one of the team members announced that the fixed distribution will be released on June 17 2017.
Extremely new to Debian GNU / Linux operating system users, as they will be able to upgrade Debian GNU / Linux 8 Jessie to the next major Stretch release, which will be launched on 17 Saturday's 2017 channel on Saturday, three weeks from today.
Until then, the release team needs to fix bugs, various crashes and memory leaks, integrate all the latest security updates and address any upgrade issues from the Debian GNU/Linux 8 Jessie series, for a smoother transition to the upcoming new stable distribution.

Debian GNU/Linux 9 Stretch will include some of the latest GNU/Linux technologies and open source applications. The distro is powered by the long-supported Linux 4.9 kernel series and will offer users up-to-date characteristics such as GCC 6.3.0, X.Org Server 1.19.2, Mesa 13.0.6 and systemd 232.
It also appears to include some new tools that appeal to people who are interested in in digital forensics.
