What are Deskthemepack files? Let's start upside down: Fire Theme is a nice package of wallpapers available for Windows users. Includes 8 stunning fire photos to decorate your desktop.
Microsoft has the theme in *.deskthemepack format (see below) and can be installed with one click.
Photographer Marc Schroeder captures the glow of fire in vivid red, orange and gold motifs. All images have the owner's watermark.

If you have installed many themes and no longer need them, you can delete custom themes installed manually or from the Store.
With the release of Windows 7, Microsoft released a new theme format, the themepack. It was created so that all of a theme's resources are packaged into a single file, making using themes much easier.
In Windows 8, the file format was updated and became a deskthemepack. Windows 10 supports both theme packages. Technically, the themepack and the deskthemepack are usually ZIP or CAB files that contain images but also the corresponding * .theme text files that have all the names of the images in the theme recorded.
Those interested can export the images directly from such files by right-clicking export. This may be useful for Windows 7 users, as the older operating system does not support * .deskthemepack * files.
An alternative for Windows 7 is the free application Deskthemepack Installer, an application that allows you to install Windows 10 and Windows 8 themes on Windows 7 with one click. However you will not need this you can easily export the images.
