Developer Days - International conference for developers and innovation

To highlight news and innovative ideas and connect developers with companies investing in technology. This is the aim of the 2nd international conference "Developer Days "organized in Thessaloniki.

Because "if the development of technology and innovation in our country significantly determine growth, then developers are a link that should not be missing from this chain". At least in this, the Google developer community (GDG Thessaloniki) believes and invests, which in the coming days gives a "step" to developers (developers) to speak and companies the opportunity to listen to them.

The conference will be held at 20 and 21 in February at the TF Hellenic Conference Center, and according to the founder of GDG Thessaloniki, Panayiotis Tzinis, international technology leaders will participate.

"There is an opportunity for programmers, engineers,""And" geeks ", system administrators, entrepreneurs, designers, information system managers and technology enthusiasts in general to get to know important and interesting people from all over the world and to be informed about the new trends in software development and new technologies", he pointed out Speaking to APE-MPE, Mr. Tzinis.

The DART language

Meanwhile, Developer Days participants will have the chance to get to know one of the most modern "tools" that, according to GDG developers, is going to change the Internet and its applications. This is the new DART language, which will be featured by Google's dedicated developers.

“DART is an open-source language - που αναπτύχθηκε από την Google. Πρόκειται για μια “γλώσσα – πλατφόρμα” ανάπτυξης εφαρμογών which aims to make app creation friendlier, faster and more efficient," explained GDG Thessaloniki developer Vangelis Tsatis.

As he pointed out: "In this 2nd GDG Thessaloniki conference, essentially what is being attempted is a greater 'opening' to companies, that's why we wanted to have something very powerful to present. "DART", the complete version of which, was released two months ago, is something "powerful", it is an innovative and fast tool in the hands of professionals", emphasized Mr. Tsatis.

The conference program includes lectures (from Dartisans - DART team, Googlers, Technologists, Supporters, Executives) and workshops that will move around the Web-App track, Partners-App track and Mobile-App track, Networking and Hack-athon.

The conference will close with a Flight Party - a surprise that, according to the organizers, will give its own, special touch, "taking off" the participants.

The 1 Conference (DevFest)

"For us, the first event is a kind of store: Developers Festival (November 2013) It was a unique event not only for Thessaloniki but also for the whole of south-eastern Europe", notes Tzinis and explains: "More than 2.000 people participates in the first DEV FEST. Then, for the first time in Greece and the Balkans, we introduced the innovative glasses of Google!

Also, then the opportunity was given to 15 developers who submitted their proposal to the 'Google cloud developer challenge', to receive with their participation, from GDG Thessaloniki, 2.000 dollars each, in Cloud credits (Google cloud services)" .

Google Developer Communities (Google Developers Group) are independent developer groups around the world using Google's tools. The GDG Thessaloniki was founded only a few months ago during the 78 Thessaloniki International Fair, as the administration of the TEF- turned its interest to technology and innovation, and in this it intends to continue investing in the future - as it has repeatedly announced - supporting not only the Community GDG but also other actions in this field.
