An incredible video came from DJI where a drone of theirs recorded in high resolution 4K the climbing route of 8.849 meters to the top of Everest.
The video was shot by Liulang Cooki and shared on DJI's YouTube channel where at the time of writing it has over 1,4 million views in just over a week.
If you are fascinated by the adventure, we recommend that you watch it in full screen, with sound and at the highest resolution your device has. The video was shot in 4K, i.e. in a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels.
The ride is incredible as the drone follows the trail of climbers. You will see there are many camps with intrepid climbers, who can rest as it is not possible to climb it in just one day.
Everest is located in the Himalayas on the border of Nepal and Tibet. The video starts at Everest Base Camp which has an altitude of 5.300 meters and passes over four camps until it reaches the summit which has an altitude of 8.849 meters. On the way you will also see the climbers moving to the next camp.
Camp 4 is the last camp before 8.000m after which climbers enter what is known as the 'Death Zone'. Its ominous name comes from the fact that the human body will not survive long at this altitude due to low oxygen levels, extreme cold and dehydration.
DJI in the description of the video states that the DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone was equipped with a 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera, a three-camera system and had a flight time of 43 minutes. Capture stunning 4K footage with amazing detail and vivid colors.
During the shoot, the Mavic 3 climbed over 9.232 meters in the air to capture panoramic footage from the top of the mountain.
Watch the video below and don't forget: full screen and high resolution.
