Your next phone may not have the logos on the back, after US President Barack Obama officially signed the bill today E-Label.
The E-Label operation means that most of the logos on the back of your phone can be displayed using an embedded software instead of being printed on the device itself. This means that future smartphones, such as the 2016 iPhone, may not have a company logo behind it.
In accordance with TNW the E-Label Bill was adopted unanimously and passed to the Senate without any further issue.
The law will rid owners of unnecessary trademarks and, according to Bob Latta, the bill's creator, will save a lot of money for manufacturers.
Unfortunately, the CE mark that exists on many devices and is required by the European Union will continue to exist for some time to come.
