EBay continues to inform users of its services to change their passwords, as this data is already in the "hands" of hackers.
Fortunately, the passwords were encrypted and the company says there is no reason to believe that hackers can break encryption. Of course the company says there is always the possibility that this will happen.
According to Reuters, eBay has hired FireEye Inc.'s MANDIANT research company to investigate the issue.
