One of the key weaknesses of Microsoft Edge, the new default Browser that exists in Windows 10, is that it lacks customization options.
Most of its features are difficult to change or do not change at all. If you want to change the default folder for example λήψηs, you'll notice that it's not possible from within the browser itself.
It's impossible because settings are not available that will allow you to change a folder.
Below we will see two options available for Windows 10 to change your default Microsoft Edge download folder.
Change the default folder by using the Windows registry
Press the Windows key along with R, type regedit in the box that will appear, and press enter.
Confirm the UAC if it appears.
In the window that opens, follow the route
Locate the% USERPROFILE% \ Downloads value to the right.
Double-click on it and change the value to another desired position, e.g. C: \ iGuRu
Restart the computer, or restart in explorer.exe or disconnect and log back in again to see the change.
The above method works well, but it is not the recommended method to set a new default download folder in Windows.
Set up a new Edge download folder: the easy way
The download folder can be changed from File Explorer directly.
Open File Explorer by clicking the folder icon.
Locate the download folder on the left-hand side, right-click on it and select Properties from the menu.
In the folder that opens from the Downloads tab, type the new path in the folder you want to store your files.
You can undo the change at any time by clicking on button “restore default settings” from the properties in the downloads tab.
Tip: You can use the same one procedure to change the location of other system folders as well, such as documents, pictures, and so on. Just right click on the folder you are interested in and follow the instructions above.
