Microsoft released Edge for Windows, as we mentioned earlier today. The company said it wants to make Windows 10 users feel familiar despite the release of a new browser.
So some features have been transferred from the original version of Edge to the new Chromium-based application.
Support for Google Chrome extensions is a key feature of the new browser. In addition, Microsoft has created its own store for Edge extensions, where users can find trusted add-ons.
Microsoft will continue to update all Edge development channels. Canary build will receive updates every day, Dev version every week, and Beta builds will have a new version every six weeks.
