EETT Withdrawal of mobile phone signal amplifier

EETT, with its decision number 1154/3, published in the government gazette (Government Gazette B/4231/04.08.2025), imposed the measure of withdrawal from the Greek market of the mobile telephone signal amplifier with the trade name ASHATA GSM980C, which is manufactured by the company Yeepin GmbH.

This decision was based on the results of tests and inspections carried out by the Spanish market surveillance authority SETELECO on the specific product. According to the announcement of the Spanish Authority (2014/53/EU-E-250121-20189), it was found that the product does not comply with the requirements of Directive 2014/53/EU, specifically with regard to:

a) the protection of the health and safety of persons and domestic animals (Article 3.1.a), b) the adequate level of electromagnetic compatibility (Article 3.1.b) and

c) the efficient use of the radio spectrum and the avoidance of harmful interference (Article 3.2).

Following the above, it was decided to withdraw the product, with relevant notification to the other EU Member States and to the European Commission through the ICSMS system (Information and Communication System for Market Surveillance), within the framework of the foreseen EU protection and safeguard procedure (Article 41 of Presidential Decree 98/2017, Official Gazette 139/A/20.09.2017). Since no objection was submitted by the European Commission or another Member State within the foreseen three-month period, the measure is now considered justified and is also applied to the Greek market.

Therefore, economic operators that have placed the ASHATA GSM980C mobile phone signal amplifier on the market are required to proceed with the necessary procedures for its withdrawal, informing EETT of their actions.
