Paint an image divided into A4 pieces


Do you want to print an image on many pieces of A4 or A3 glue, as if it were a poster? It is very easy with the Windows design program, Microsoft Paint.

Have you ever needed to print a large image, but your printer can only use standard A4, or A3 paper sizes? If you want to print a large poster or a large map, you do not need to go to a specialty store where it can print it in the required dimensions.

You can use your home printer to print this image split into multiple pages. Then all you have to do is use a tape or duct tape to attach the sheets of paper and assemble the whole picture.

NOTE: The steps in this tutorial work the same on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10. For simplicity, to show you how to print a multi-page poster, we used screenshots taken only in Windows 10.

Step 1. Open Microsoft Paint
First of all, open Paint. You will find it in the installed Windows programs. If you have difficulty press Start and write the word paint. If you have Greek Windows then write the word Painting.

Step 2. Open the image you want to print
Upload the file with the image you want to print. To do this, click or tap the File tab on the ribbon. Then click or click Open.

Browse your computer and select the image you want to print. When selected, click or click Open.

You should now see your image loaded in Paint.

Step 3. Set Paint to print your large image on multiple pages
You have now opened your image in Paint. It's time to tell Paint that you want to print the image on multiple pages.

To do this, click or click the File tab on the ribbon, and then go to Print without clicking on it yet. Wait for the submenu to open and click on "Page Format".

In this window along with other printing options such as Paper Size, Orientation or Margin, you should also find a section called Scale.

To print your large image on multiple pages, all you have to do is tell Paint that you want to scale your image to as many pages as you want. For example, if you want your image to be printed on four pages on rectangular paper, you must use the "Customize to" field and enter the values ​​4 to 4 pages.

Depending on how big you want your image to be when printing and how long or wide you want it to be, you can enter the values ​​you need.

Once you have decided exactly how many pages you want the image to print, click or press OK to save your settings.

Step 4. How to print a large image on multiple pages using Paint
Paint knows you want to print the image on multiple pages. All that remains is to start the printing process. Click the File tab on the ribbon, and then click Print. You can alternatively press CTRL + P on your keyboard.

Logically a window will open with your printers. If you have more than one printer installed, select the printer you want to use. Then click or press the Print button.

Your printer should immediately start printing the image across multiple pages. And for example here you see the specific image printed on 12 pages.

The stapling done in the image above is quite rough. With a little patience, you could stick the sheets of paper carefully, with the tape on the back and the result is flawless.
