The official presentation of the National Cybersecurity Team 2026 will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, as part of Cipher X, a major event dedicated to cybersecurity, technology and innovation. During the event, the team members and their selection process will be presented, as well as the mission of the Greek participation in this year's European final of ECSC 2026.

The Greek participation in the European Cyber Security Challenge is under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Governance, while the organization, coordination and preparation of the National Team has been undertaken by the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus , with Professor Christos Xenakis as scientific director.

The selection of the members of the National Cybersecurity Team 2026 was carried out through a multi-level evaluation process, which included successive stages of technical tests, knowledge assessment and practical training. The candidates were asked to face demanding cybersecurity challenges, while the final selection phase took place in the context of this year's National Team preparation Bootcamp, where participants took part in a specially designed local Capture The Flag (Local CTF) competition.

Participation in the European Cyber Security Challenge is a unique opportunity for young scientists and professionals to develop their technical skills, collaborate with leading experts in the field, and participate in an international community of young cybersecurity talent.

In an era where cyber threats are constantly increasing and the need for specialized human resources is becoming increasingly urgent, actions such as the European Cyber Security Challenge contribute substantially to the education and promotion of the next generation of cybersecurity specialists, who will be a key factor in protecting the digital society.
