Windows 10 and Windows 11 have a camera status indicator to prevent it from being turned on secretly. Here's how you can activate it service.
Most modern laptops with built-in cameras have special LED indicators to let you know the camera is on and watching you. However, some laptop they don't have such LEDs and neither do the desktop devices where the web camera was added.
In a serious one infringement of your machine the scammer can activate your camera without your knowledge and record you. To improve privacy on such computers, Microsoft has created a notification that appears when the camera is turned on or off.
If the LED on your laptop is no longer working or you want an additional warning, here's how to enable the indicator activationof the camera in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Since you will be modifying the Windows 10 and Windows 11 registry we recommend that you first create a system restore point before proceeding. A new restore point will help you get everything back to working order without problems if something goes wrong.
Step 1: Press Win + R and type regedit to launch the Windows Registry Editor. You can also use Windows Search or any other preferred method.
Step 2: In the Registry Editor, paste the following into the address bar:

The command will allow you to get to the necessary registry key without getting lost in its labyrinthine paths.
Step 3: Find the price NoPhysicalCameraLED and open it (double click on it). If no such value exists, click Edit > New > DWORD and rename the new value to NoPhysicalCameraLED.
Step 4: Change the value data from 0 (default) to 1.
Step 5: Restart your computer.
The price change NoPhysicalCameraLED from 0 to 1 makes your computer think it has no physical cues for camera scripts, forcing the operating system to show notifications”Camera On" and "Camera Off” when a program or application accesses the built-in or external camera..
Note that changing the value does not affect the indicator LED, which will continue to work regardless of the value data.
If you want to disable Windows 10 and Windows 11 camera privacy notification, repeat all above and change value data from 1 to 0 in step 4.
