Meta, ex Facebook, is expected to make another round of mass layoffs today, according to a Vox report citing "several sources working at the company."
Such as they report to Vox, the layoffs are part of a broader restructuring at Meta, which CEO Mark Zuckerberg called the "year of efficiency".
A month ago, in March, Zuckerberg said the company would cut 10.000 jobs in the coming months, particularly those related to "low-income projects prioritys". Add to that number in your mind 11.000 jobs that were cut in November.
This week's layoffsteams could range from 4.000 jobs, a source told Vox. And it's to be expected, since Zuckerberg previously said April's cuts would affect roles in the departments technologys, while another round of layoffs planned for May will hit the business side.
