ESET's solution for Windows, ESET Internet Security, was identified with distinctions by AV Comparatives and Virus Bulletin.
The recognized independent test organization AV Comparatives has awarded ESET Internet Security the first place in the "Performance Test – Impact of Consumer Security Software on System Performance».
Determining 99,7 scores on 100, ESET achieved an improvement over the 98,5 score it had made in the 2018 report. ESET's flagship solution for home users was rated "Very Fast" in all test cases, including File Replication, File Manager, Application Installation, Booting, Web Site Browsing, and Content Download.
These tests, which are a standard for the security industry, assess the impact of antivirus software on system performance, as real-time anti-virus programs use a percentage of system resources as they are running in the background. ESET ranked first among 16 software developers.
In addition, ESET Internet Security won the VB100 award at the Virus Bulletin "VB 100 Certification Report April 2019»(PDF).
This distinction is awarded to software solutions that meet the minimum standards in malware detection, while at the same time minimal or no legitimate programs. ESET was rated 100%, a performance that gave it another VB100 distinction and 119ο award from Virus Bulletin.
