The NSRF 2014 - 2020 will include Actions and Initiatives for Open Government and Open Data

XRISTOFILOPOULOU_EVIThe main priorities of the political strategy for the expansion of Open Government through digital technology and the initiatives undertaken by the of Administrative Reform and Electronic Government, analyzed by Deputy Minister Evi Christofilopoulou, speaking at International Conference on European Open Access Policies for Public Data, organized by National Documentation Center.

As the Mrs Christofilopoulou, the government's strategic choice is to promote the policy of open and accessible data in the public administration. "Openness" empowers the role of citizens and allows them to participate in shaping the policies that concern them. In this context, all public administration bodies, through the improvement and strengthening of existing legislation where deemed necessary, will be required to post on data to use and by the citizens.

Also, the Ms. Christofilopoulou announced that, in the new program framework of the NSRF 2014 - 2020, actions and initiatives for Open Government and open data will be included, which will relate, among others, to collaborations of public sector bodies with social bodies.

Referring to "Health", described it as a European dimension, good practice and assured the clear intention of the Ministry of Administrative Reform and eGovernment to strengthen and shield the institution, recalling its personal commitment that the citizen, simply by using the Internet Posting Number (IDA) of the posted document in the "Hydrangea" program will be able to obtain an exact copy thereof.

"Our goal is to upgrade Electronic Government for the benefit of the citizen and s. We believe that the wealth of public information can be used significantly in this direction. From the lists of civil servants of the Ministry of Administrative Reform and E-Governance and the General Secretariat of Revenue, up to the land registry and e-Justice of the Ministry of Justice, citizens can have access to the information. Only through transparency, accountability and citizen involvement can it be possible to transition to a new model of public administration, that of Open Public Administration and Governance. It may also make it possible to broaden the participation of citizens in the formulation of policies on issues that concern them", noted the Deputy Minister.
