National Bank customers have two months to decide whether to keep their Privileges account. In the context of the information being provided after the court decision of the Multi-member Court of First Instance of Athens, for the monthly charge of 0,80 euros, National Bank informs its customers that it has stopped the monthly charge of 0,80 euros, for the conversion of the account to "Privileges".
The bank's customers have 60 days from the moment they receive the update to decide whether they want to keep their Privileges account, or return to the previous type, which "provides for a charge per transaction in accordance with the invoice and the law."
Those who change their account to its previous form within 60 days will do so free of charge. Otherwise, it will remain as a “Privilege account”, with a monthly charge of 0,80 euros.
“If you do not exercise your right to object within 60 days: your account will continue as a Privilege Account with the monthly charge of €0,80, which will begin after the deadline has passed,” National Bank states.
Anyone who wishes to revert their account to its previous form, "Simple Savings" or "Simple Current", can do so in one of the following ways:
- Via Internet & Mobile Banking (Accounts → Account Selection → Conversion)
- By calling 210 484 8484
- At any National Bank branch.
Although the press releases will range from very select to rare, I said I'd pass...because sometimes the editors hide.
