Skype and Viber's 28 Justice and Home Affairs Ministers, who met on Thursday in Brussels on an extraordinary basis, are being prepared to control communication from applications such as Skype and Viber. The traffic (if eventually done) will be done for security reasons as these applications have been used to communicate between terrorists.
Belgium's Minister of Justice, Cohen Gens, referred to the French aid, saying it was "very productive in terms of speeding up procedureς ”.
Most important, however, was Geens' request to open communication to Internet as security checks are only performed on traditional communication services such as telephones.
"We have Skype, Viber, the internet should be open," Geens said after the extraordinary EU cabinet meeting.
And (our) Commissioner for Migration, Internal Affairs and Citizens' Rights Dimitris Avramopoulos reiterated his full support for Europeanς Επιτροπής στο Βέλγιο και τις οικογένειες των θυμάτων των attacks in Brussels, underlining the need for immediate implementation of the decisions already taken.
"Every time after the attacks we repeat ourselves. The citizens are tired. "They are afraid," said Avramopoulos.
"National security is the job of the Member States, but the threat of terrorism is common, and the response must be common."
Avramopoulos presented part of the agreement to set up a joint expert group of Member States who should share the information directly.
"We can not put our data in black boxes," he added.

But the issue is quite complex and Europe's proposals for 28 will have to be accepted by companies (not how we think Microsoft will make a particular resistance) by Europeans but also by organizations for the protection of political and personal freedoms.
It's the same thing we've been worried since Snowden leaked the NSA secret service's actions.
Monitor and remove privacy secrets to provide information to government agencies.
But even if Europe is monitoring Skype and Viper who can guarantee that some ISIS cryptographer won't write a new communication application (if they haven't written it already)?
And do not worry so much: Who guarantees you that Skype and Viber are not being tracked right now?
