Στην Αθήνα θα πραγματοποιηθεί φέτος το "euroCRIS Strategic Membership Meeting", η ετήσια Συνάντηση των εταίρων και της κοινότητας του euroCRIS, του διεθνούς οργανισμού που ασχολείται με τα Πληροφοριακά Συστήματα Ερευνητικών Δραστηριοτήτων (Current Research Information Systems - CRIS). Η εκδήλωση διοργανώνεται από το euroCRIS σε συνεργασία με το Εθνικό Κέντρο Τεκμηρίωσης (EKT) στις 8-10 Νοεμβρίου στο Εθνικό Ίδρυμα Ερευνών (Αμφιθέατρο "Λ. Ζέρβας", Βασ. Κωνσταντίνου 48, Αθήνα).
Η εκδήλωση "euroCRIS Athens Strategic Membership Meeting" απευθύνεται σε ερευνητές, καθώς και σε όσους ενδιαφέρονται για ερευνητικές υποδομές βασισμένες σε Τεχνολογίες Πληροφορίας και Επικοινωνιών (CRIS, ψηφιακά αποθετήρια και περιοδικά) ή εμπλέκονται σε θέματα διαχείρισης και διάχυσης της έρευνας και της καινοτομίας (προγράμματα χρηματοδότησης, αξιοποίηση ερευνητικών αποτελεσμάτων, ενίσχυση ανταγωνιστικότητας επιχειρήσεων).
Στη φετινή συνάντηση με θέμα "Towards optimal Research information Infrastructures on a national and international level", ιδιαίτερη βαρύτητα θα δοθεί στην πορεία για μία ευρωπαϊκή ερευνητική υποδομή πληροφοριών και θα παρουσιαστούν τα συμπεράσματα από τις τρέχουσες πρωτοβουλίες και συνεργασίες που λαμβάνουν χώρα στην Ευρώπη, καθώς και σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο.
Follow-up to the Meeting requires registration on the site www.eurocris.org, where the program of the event is also available. For those who are members of euroCRIS, as well as for Greek participants (researchers, representatives of agencies, etc.) (selection: local representatives), registration is free of charge. The closing date for registration is 1 in November 2016.
Two special national sessions, with Greek speakers from research centers and universities, concerning the creation of optimal information infrastructures at local, national and international level, are also held at the meeting.
It is noted that the Current Research Information Systems (CRIS) have been widely disseminated over recent years to academic / research institutions, mainly in the European Union. CRIS systems are proposed by the European Parliament as the systems on which the large pan-European infrastructure for measuring European research can be built.
As pointed out by the organizers, the theme of the Meeting is essential and timely for a number of reasons. Research information infrastructures are increasingly important for those who produce and use research data and information, whether it is researchers themselves (for maximum exposure and discovery of their research and data), or managers of research institutions (for better direction , monitoring and comparing research), either for funders (to better evaluate their investments), or for policy makers (as base documentation on strategy and vision development). All of the above stakeholders benefit substantially from optimal, standardized research information infrastructures.
Internationally, one feature παράδειγμα είναι η πρωτοβουλία για την Ανοικτή Επιστήμη "European Open Science Cloud Initiative", η οποία ξεκίνησε πρόσφατα από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση με στόχο τη δημιουργία βέλτιστων υποδομών επιστημονικής έρευνας και δεδομένων σε ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο.

The importance of CRIS systems and the role of the ESF at national level
Systematic and standardized recording of research activity in research organizations is at the core of CRIS systems that record research activity through the Common European Research Information Information Format (CERIF), a powerful international standard that enables the semantic and chronological interconnection of a very large a wealth of research data. The CERIF model has been developed by the euroCRIS organization, with the active contribution of the ESF, which has been a member since 1997, while since 2009 it has been a member of the Board of Directors.
Based on the CERIF standard, numerous data are semantically and chronologically interconnected, highlighting the overall picture of the research activity of actors and countries, and emphasizing the recording of the results of the research activity (publications, patents, research data) and their connection to the environment in (researchers, organizations, funded projects and projects, research infrastructures, services).
The ESF has developed the Greek CRIS software platform that will form the backbone of a national CRIS infrastructure. The national CRIS infrastructure will include the individual systems that will operate in academic and research institutions and the central accumulator operating in the ESF, which will be fed with information from the individual systems of the institutions. Two pilot applications were implemented within the platform development, at the University of Patras with the collaboration of the Library and Information Center of the University, and the National Hellenic Research Foundation.
Η πλατφόρμα λογισμικού CRIS διατίθεται, μέσω της συνεργασίας του ΕΚΤ και του Συνδέσμου Ελληνικών Ακαδημαϊκών Βιβλιοθηκών (ΣΕΑΒ), στα ακαδημαϊκά ιδρύματα - μέλη του ΣΕΑΒ για την ανάπτυξη ιδρυματικών συστημάτων CRIS. Στον καθορισμό των απαιτήσεων ανάπτυξης της πλατφόρμας συμμετείχαν, μετά από πρόσκληση του ΕΚΤ, εμπειρογνώμονες από τον ΣΕΑΒ.
The CRIS platform is already available at 16 Universities and TEIs, and in the future it can be used by a wider range of research stakeholders, such as research centers, public and private healthcare providers.
Η ανάπτυξη της πλατφόρμας λογισμικού CRIS και του εθνικού συσσωρευτή CRIS για τους ελληνικούς ακαδημαϊκούς και ερευνητικούς φορείς πραγματοποιήθηκε στο πλαίσιο του έργου "Εθνικό Πληροφοριακό Σύστημα Έρευνας και Τεχνολογίας/Κοινωνικά Δίκτυα – Περιεχόμενο Παραγόμενο από Χρήστες" (www.epset.gr) το οποίο υλοποιήθηκε από το ΕΚΤ στο πλαίσιο του Επιχειρησιακού Προγράμματος "Ψηφιακή Σύγκλιση" (ΕΣΠΑ), με τη συγχρηματοδότηση της Ελλάδας και της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης - Ευρωπαϊκό Ταμείο Περιφερειακής Ανάπτυξης.
