The European regulatory authorities approved the acquisition of $69 billion from its Microsoft Activision Blizzard, giving to company a victory at a time when the agreement is being contested in many other countries.
Although the merge could hurt competition in some opinions, particularly in the fast-growing market for cloud gaming services, Microsoft's concessions were enough to mitigate antitrust concerns stemming from the deal, it said in a statement European Commission.
Among Microsoft's offers is a ten-year commitment that will allow European consumers to play Activision titles on any service cloud gaming.
Microsoft also pledged not to downgrade the quality or content of its games made available to rivals platforms streaming.
