Facebook automatically uploads images to Google Photos

Facebook - Google collaboration and more: Transferring photos is not easy. It is very difficult to move photos from one social network to another or some storage space. But Facebook and Google have decided to make things easier, as they now allow you to copy your photos from Facebook to Google Photos.

It is the first fruit of an open source project, the Data Transfer Program (Data Transfer Project), which aims to make the transition easier of photos and other data between the platforms of the companies: Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Twitter.

The goal is to make it easier for you, the end user, to manage them better you.

When we report your data, we mean the photos or videos you have uploaded to Facebook. With a new tool, you will be able to move them easily. However, you will not be able to transfer images and videos that contain content that was posted by others.

The "new" feature is not new to all users as it works for some users in Ireland from the end of 2019.

Currently, you can only transfer your photos from Facebook to Google Photos. By default, everyone of Google Photos has 15 GB of storage space. If you need more, you can buy 100 GB for $1,99 per month or $19,99 per year. If you're a professional photographer or can't stop taking selfies, you can rent up to 30TB of storage.

The service Google Photos can save images with έως και 16 megapixel, και διαθέτει ενσωματωμένα εργαλεία οργάνωσης φωτογραφιών καθώς και ένα online επεξεργαστή.

To move your Facebook pictures to Google Photos, sign in to Facebook. In your Facebook settings you will see "Your Facebook Information" on the right of your screen. (You can go directly from here)
