The social network Facebook is closing down its e-mail service (@ facebook.com), after three years of operation.
Now, users of the social network will receive their e-mail at emails that they had entered during their Facebook registration.
Fromfaceof the social network announced that Facebook decided to stop the service as "the majority of users do not use it".
Facebook's email service is expected to officially shut down in early March.
The venture had begun in November 2010. In Facebook's e-mail, users received emails, SMS and electronic messages from their friends on the social network.
A few days ago, Facebook announced the acquisition of the popular app VSchangeof online WhatsApp messages against the astronomical sum of 16 billion euros.
