Facebook: see if your data has been leaked

The notification service Have I Been Pwned data can be used to check if your personal information has been leaked to yesterday leak givenn of Facebook containing phone numbers and for more than 500 million users.

Yesterday, someone posted the personal data of 533.313.128 Facebook users in a hacking forum.

The leaked data contained telephone numbers, name, gender, location, relationship status, occupation, date of birth and email addresses.

This data was originally sold in private sales after being collected in 2019 using a bug in the “To friend" on Facebook. Facebook had closed this vulnerability soon after it was discovered, but the hackers continued to release the data until finally yesterday they released it for almost free ($2,19).

Troy Hunt added this data to the Have I Been Pwned data breach notification service to help users determine if their data has been exposed to the public.
