Have you tried Facebook's punishments by blocking your account or deleting your posts? Many of those who saw their account locked did not upload pornographic material, nor did they commit an offense such as profanity or defamation.
It could just be that their political speech was flagged by Facebook's algorithm as hate speech.
In our case, specifically on the iGuru.gr page, the algorithm deletes posts due to spam or clickbait. Those who follow our Facebook page know of course that our posts do not belong to these categories.
In short, there is no freedom of speech, and even worse there is no proper evaluation by an impersonal algorithm. Can Facebook ban posts under any pretext? Of course it can: it's a private company and it can ban whatever it wants. If you don't like it, make your own facebook.
The argument, get off Facebook if you feel wronged, is valid.
But think about what we do on Facebook. We are not only connected with known friends and relatives, but also with many strangers with whom we exchange arguments, thoughts, opinions etc.
This is how we build a personal image and a professional identity, which, neither more nor less, are our trademark in the field of the technological community.
So leaving Facebook "voluntarily" is not an option, but suicide at the cost of personal and professional suffocation, especially if the page is not new and has enough followers.
