Facebook stop for ads, new blackmail

What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear “ad break”? television commercials.

What we probably didn't expect is a new system that Facebook will use in the European Union, when it got invalidated for "register and pay money" or "keep seeing ads" prompts in the EU.facebook

Facebook gives users two options when it comes to ads:

Personalized ads and
Less personalized ads

The main difference lies in the data Facebook uses to serve ads. Personalized ads, which are the default, use a user's data to serve ads.

Opting for less personalized ads doesn't use as much user data for Facebook ads. So they may be less aligned with a user's interests according to Facebook. Facebook says it will use age, gender and location, ad engagement and content served on Facebook for ads.

Most importantly, and this is new, it will show ad breaks.

If you change the setting to less personalized, you may see ad breaks, although for now they seem to be limited to the Facebook mobile app.

If you scroll down on a Facebook page, the app may suddenly show an ad and block scrolling for a while. In other words, it stops everything you're doing on Facebook to show the ad.

Of course it is extremely annoying.

The only official way out is to accept the display of personalized ads on Facebook.

  1. You say that:
The only official way out is to accept the display of personalized ads on Facebook.

Error…. the only way out is to delete the account and when they see the users decrease… then maybe they will understand…
