The Facebook introduces the new tools one-click to help them people in Afghanistan to lock down their account privacy settings.
The announcement was made on Twitter by Facebook security chief Nathaniel Gleicher, who said the new one-click tool would enable privacy settings for timeline posts and prevent profile photos from being downloaded or shared.
This feature will encourage users to "limit what strangers can see". The tool will not be available on Instagram, but the photo-sharing app will have “pop-up notifications” explaining how to lock those accounts, too.
Gleicher added that the company is also temporarily hiding lists of friends' accounts in the country and encouraged people with Facebook friends living in Afghanistan to change their privacy settings for their friends list.
