Facebook app developers have until April 30 to change their APIs in their applications as the social network will automatically trigger the second version of the Graph API.
Simon Simon product manager Simon Simon Reported in a post on the company's blog that they will launch the upgrade of all applications in its 2.0 version Graph API on April 30.
The company announced for the first time the new edition of the Graph API, along with a new procedure login, during the F8 conference.
Facebook claims that the new version of Graph API will help developers develop and earn money from their applications, while Facebook's new login login will give those who use it more control over the information they share with applications.
The new API and Facebook login are already available for developers, and according to the company by April 30 all applications will automatically change to the 2.0 version of the Graph API.
Already, many developers have implemented the new API in their applications, according to Facebook.
Please note that Facebook login will allow anonymous login to applications that require a user login.
Starting April 30, Facebook will begin upgrading all applications to the new login and second version of the Graph API, and remove any permissions that by that date have not been approved through its reconsideration entry. Migration will roll out to all applications over the course of a few weeks.
“We recommend upgrading, rather than waiting for it automatic upgrade, as this gives you more control over what your customers see in your app.”
