Facebook has announced that updates are coming to promote local news feeds to News Feed users, which will provide more reliable information as they can cross-check locally.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, said that if a user follows a local publisher or if someone shares a local story, it will appear higher in the news stream.
The local newsletter kicked off on Sunday, Facebok said and will be expanding to more countries this year.
