How did you lose her? work by Matt Harrigan from Facebook? Major tech companies such as Apple, Microsoft and Facebook chose to maintain order after his victory Donald Trump in the American elections. So a CEO of a San Diego-based security company called PacketSled lost his job when he threatened to assassinate the newly elected Democratic president on Facebook.
Unfortunately, his daring and aggressive attitude towards Donald Trump soon passed to Reddit and from there he began appearing in various media, causing PacketSled to replace his CEO.
"I'm going to kill the president-elect," Matt Harrigan wrote on his personal Facebook page, adding many other adjectives.
When Harrigan saw the extent of his posts, he apologized in a post on the PacketSled website, downplaying the threats as a "joke."
My recent comments on Facebook were a joke, in the context of a wider discussion, which was only private. Anyone who knows me knows that I do not participate in such rhetoric…. I apologize if you took something I said seriously, it was offensive, or it caused legitimate concern.
Best regards, Matt Harrigan
Harrigan's apology was removed from the PacketSled website and the company announced in its position that "the board of directors" accepted the resignation of President and CEO Matthew Harrigan, with immediate effect. "
"We want to be very clear: PacketSled does not tolerate comments made by Mr Harrigan that do not reflect the views or opinions of our company, our employees, our investors or our partners," the statement said.
Ironically, PacketSled specializes in "monitoring advanced threats and breaches."
