Facebook already allows its users to transfer the photos and their videos on Backblaze, Dropbox, Google Photos and Koofr.
Today, Facebook announced that it will allow its users to upload their posts and notes to Google Docs, Blogger and WordPress.com.
To start the transfer, Facebook will ask users to re-enter their password before they start transferring and encrypting their data as they move between services.
How can you access the mode:
From your Facebook settings in the "Your Facebook Information" section, click on "Transfer your information" (Transfer a Copy of Your Information).
You will be asked for your account password.
Follow the instructions to safely transfer the data of your choice to one of the available services.
“We look forward to continuing to expand our data types and partners in the future. However, the ecosystem that we are building to support data portability will not materialize without regulation that clarifies what data should be made portable and who is responsible for protecting the data after it is transferred,” said Steve Satterfield, Director of Privacy and Public Policy.
