The Facebook users who read fake news για τον COVID-19 και αλληλεπίδρασαν με αυτά θα λάβουν σύντομα ειδοποιήσεις στην πλατφόρμα, όπως ανακοίνωσε η company today Thursday.
In the coming weeks, users who liked, shared or commented on fake content will receive a pop-upnotice στη ροή ειδήσεών τους (news feed). Το μήνυμα θα τους κατευθύνει σε μια ιστοσελίδα του Παγκόσμιου Οργανισμού Υγείας (ΠΟΥ), που αναφέρει τους μύθους για τον κοραναϊό.
“We want to connect people who may have interacted with harmful scams information about the virus with the truth from authoritative sources”, Reported Guy Rosen, Facebook's vice president for platform integrity.
The system announced the day after launching a campaign through Avaaz about the problem of fake news of Facebook.
Avaaz researched 104 Facebook posts and videos about the virus and found that the content was shared nearly 1,7 million times and garnered 117 million views. They also found that Facebook may need up to 22 days to issue misinformation warnings.
