For some time now, Facebook has been allowing users to use the new look of the page, but it has always offered a way to get back to the old layout.
The largest social network has now started posting a message explaining that the old interface will disappear in September.
The message also highlights some of the key news characteristics of the interface, such as a cleaner look, larger text, faster load times, and a dark theme which can be optionally activated from the drop-down menu.
The new appearance of Facebook was presented for the first time at the F8 2019 conference held in April and May of the same year. It was then made available to users in March of 2020.
The new interface is more like that of the Facebook mobile app with a simple line navigation that provides quick access to different sections of the site, such as Watch and Marketplace.
The logo of Facebook has also been redesigned from the ground up compared to that of the social network's classic interface.
Of course reactions are expected as with any big event change. But time will help us all accept the new design.
