The US Department of Justice recently announced that it has unlocked another iPhone involved in a New York drug case. The FBI, according to the announcement, managed to breach the device without the help of third parties.
This is the second iPhone that breaks the FBI within two months, which raises the concern that the Feds could break more devices with their unlock software.
Of course, the secrecy of the service does not allow us to know if they used the same method to unlock the iPhone of New York, as they did in the case of San Bernardino.
The FBI had then stated that the hack used for the San Bernardino iPhone could only be used for the iPhone 5C. The New York iPhone was a 5S with iOS 7.
Η Apple δεν έχει ακόμη εκδώσει ακόμα κάποια δήλωση για το theme this, but the company's line is known.
This worrying news is that FBI has the means or expertise to violate some iPhone models.
The fact of course does not please Apple's customers, but neither does the company, which is not aware of the vulnerability that uses the FBI to fix it.
