Ο Matthew Miller and the Fedora development team announced the release of Fedora 32. The new Fedora 32 comes with familiar desktops including Gnome, Xfce, KDE Plasma and Cinnamon among others.
The latest version of the operating system upgrades the tools development and compilers, removes most packages Python of version 2, and comes to the surface work gnomes 3.36.
The distribution now includes the EarlyOOM memory monitor which can stop processes that consume excessive RAM.
“No matter which version of Fedora you're using, you'll have the latest in what the open source world has to offer. We have updated core programming language packages and system libraries, GCC 10, Ruby 2.7, and Python 3.8. Of course, with the end of the cycle supports of Python 2, we removed most of the Python 2 packages from Fedora. An old python27 package is still available for developers and users who need it. In Fedora Workstation, we have enabled the EarlyOOM service by default to improve the end user experience in low memory situations.”
